2009 Holiday Lights and Business Holiday Decorations Winners

The Greater Sitka Chamber of Commerce announces the winners of the 2009-10 Business Holiday Decorations, Re:fresh Salon, Spa & Fitness. The Chamber would like to express appreciation for all the business owners who have contributed to the festive look of the community this holiday season, by dressing up their businesses. The committee had a hard time picking just one to receive this year’s award. In addition to Re:fresh, especially noteworthy for their decorations this year, are: Brenner’s, Sitka Realty, The Beauty Shop and The Cellar.
The Mayor's Award went to the home of Rich and Brenda Calkins and family at 1203 Georgeson Loop (pictured above). Congratulations to both of the 2009 winners of the Holiday Lighting contest.
The Greater Sitka Chamber of Commerce announces the winners of the 2009 Christmas Lights Judging. The committee saw several homes that were beautifully decorated with lights, but two stood out. The Mayor’s award went to the home of Rich and Brenda Calkins and family at 1203 Georgeson Loop. The President’s award went to the Mike & Maria Romine and family at 301 Wachusetts.
The winners of the Mayor's and President's awards were both presented with a turkey donated by AC/Lakeside and a bottle of wine donated by Odom Corporation. The Chamber thanks these businesses for the donations.
The Chamber thanks all those who have taken the time to decorate their homes and businesses for the season.
