The Greater Sitka Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization of business and community leaders who promote, support, and facilitate commerce and economic growth in the community.

flag4th of July Event Schedule

Chamber Luncheon: July 1 - Alaska Statehood - 49 stars, 50 years.Join the party and share your stories about statehood and the first 49 star flag raising. Have some Alaska Statehood birthday cake! We'll give away some KIFW/The Rock advertising and an Alaska Statehood book.

July 3rd and July 4th Fireworks/Flag Raising - The public is invited to enjoy the city fireworks and a reenactment on Castle Hill commemorating the ‘unofficial’ raising of the first 49 star American flag beginning at 11:30pm on Friday, July 3. At 12:01am, on July 4, a reenactment will take place on Castle Hill, commemorating the raising of the first 49 star American flag. The fireworks will be set off from the ramp at Mt. Edgecumbe High School. Many of us will be viewing them from Castle Hill, as we raise the 49 star flag. The fireworks may still be bursting in air as the flag is raised. more...

Independence Day4th of July Parade - The parade will be on Saturday, July 4, at 2pm. Contact the Chamber to be included in the parade or to list your event on the schedule. 747-8604 or chamber@ptialaska.net.

Golf Tournament2009 Sitka Golf Tournament: Saturday, August 8 - Join us at the Sea Mountain Golf Course for our first real golf tournament.

Welcome Back card coverWelcome Back Cards

Visitors continue to come into the Chamber office to get their own copy of this delightful DJ Robidou design as a reminder of their trip to Sitka. This week, we will have 10,000 of these cards available for Chamber members to send home with your customers.

Chamber staff and board members will begin distributing the cards when they arrive, but you are also invited to call the office, at 747-8604 and arrange to pick up a supply. We will begin disbursing up to 200 cards per business. If you like the cards, let us know. We'll order more.


Silver Saver Cards Silver Saver Card

The 2009 / 2010 cards are out, and are available at most of the participating businesses or from the Chamber of Commerce. The $10 cards are full of year-round discounts at twenty Chamber member businesses. The Silver Saver cards are good from April through March each year.
